"Not Fade Away" Tee by Yusuke Komori

The Japanese artist created hand drawn and painted originals featuring incredible line work, vibrant colors, and his renowned style that radiates positivity. The iconic lyrics of “Not Fade Away” or “NFA” have become a term of endearment for the Grateful Dead community. Originally written and performed by Buddy Holly & the Crickets in 1957, “Not Fade Away” was later adopted and performed more than 600 times by the Grateful Dead, and multiple other iterations of the band. First performed in San Francisco in 1968, “Not Fade Away” was most recently played by Dead & Co as part of the Final Tour in SF in 2023. Although not originally written by the Dead, “Not Fade Away” is a powerful love song that has become an ode from the Dead to their fans, from the fans to the Dead, and from one fan to another.
