Say hello to the Grateful Dead Lyrics Collection!
TGR is honored to work with the Grateful Dead on a new collection of officially licensed designs using iconic lyrics from the soundtrack of our lives. Our team tapped some of our favorite artists in the Dead community to create designs inspired by their favorite lyrics, while also incorporating them into the designs.
About the Artist
Wintermoon Studios was founded in 1994 by renowned Grateful Dead Artist Peter Forsythe (@peter.forsythe.design) and his artist wife Dawn Mueller (@reclaimedlife2). Together they have built on Peter's previous career as a founding member and Art Director of NFA and together have created hundreds of licensed products for bands like the Grateful Dead, Dead & Company, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley and the Allman Brothers.
Dawn Mueller was born during a solar eclipse and has always been a flower child at heart. She is versatile in many mediums, but prefers pen to paper. She loves working with so many of the iconic GD images and is honored to be part of the story. According to Dawn, “Listening to the Grateful Dead is like going on an archaeological dig of the soul…it just makes you want to dig deeper”.
About the Design:
Longtime collaborators, Peter Forsythe and Dawn Mueller chose “Spent a Little Time on the Mountain” from the classic track, New Speedway Boogie. A no brainer choice for the duo and TGR, the design features hand illustrated Owsley Bears biking with the silhouette and lyrics on the back. Hand-printed and tie-dyed by Forsythe in his Catskills studio, each garment is a unique and highly collectible piece.
