It was the late ‘90s—a time of baggy jeans, frosted tips and bright fleece jackets. Camcorders opened up the possibilities for outdoor filmmaking, and with more airtime came… more air.

TGR was born of this era and took documenting the wild lines and the wild lives of outdoor athletes to a whole other level of go-big storytelling. And we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our formative years than a collab with the original fleece masters who ruled the ‘90s: Polartec®.

ANOMALY ANORAK

An aberration, an oddity, something never seen before. TGR’s classic film, the Anomaly, celebrates the outliers and the standouts—people who rewrote what was possible. And the Anomaly Anorak celebrates this same spirit with the original outdoor game changer: Polartec® Shearling Fleece.

HIGH-PILE, HIGH-SMILE

Before Polartec invented the soft, smooth synthetic fleece we all know today, the bulky warmth of Shearling Fleece was the norm. This high-pile style blew away other midlayers of the time with its warm, lightweight and breathable qualities. Today’s Shearling still has that iconic throwback look—just with even more breathable and pill-resistant performance. The Anomaly Pullover Fleece Anorak will have you catching a serious fuzz buzz inside of all that Shearling Fleece.

SALAD DAYS FLEECE SHIRT

"My salad days, when I was green in judgment, warm in shirt"
-Cleopatra

Salad Days, noun: A time of youthful indiscretion and delinquency. Inspired by TGR’s legendary film, the Salad Days Fleece Shirt is fully prepared to take you from the gnar to the bar, then wherever you end up afterward.

LETTUCE REJOICE!

Leaf them stunned with the iceberg-cold looks of the Salad Days Fleece Shirt. No corny button-up, this shirt is fresher than greens from the garden and softer than a ripe avocado. Pop your collard, or fold it down, your choice! Toss it on for work then leaf it on for night laps. The perfect shirt to Caesar the day!

MICRO FLEECE SERIES

THE CLASSIC SOFT MICRO FLEECE.

Polartec® Micro Fleece is the original synthetic fleece, forever changing what we wear in cold weather. This now-proven thermal knit technology delivers breathable performance, soft comfort, and long-lasting durability.

CONTINUUM 1/4-ZIP

It all started with the Continuum, our first film, launched into the world from the cliffs and couloirs of Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1996. And even though technology may have changed since then, the basic ideas of the film—exploration, creativity, mystery and fun—have stuck with us ever since. We started on the Continuum and we’re still on the same continuum all these years later.

THE CONTINUUM HAS NO END

Like deep powder and good beer, some things never go out of style. The Continuum ¼-Zip is our classic midlayer fleece—always ready for any sport and any conditions. Whether you’re working hard or hardly working, the Continuum is your upper body’s best friend. For our DVD Collection, we decided to digitally remaster this iconic midlayer with some help from the fleece maestros at Polartec. And they came with the goods: Polartec® Power Grid™, a highly efficient insulation layer with magical squares that trap air for warmth and also pull sweat vapor to the outside for quick drying.

A NEW REALM FOR OUTDOOR FILM

When the freeriding revolution went down, TGR was there to capture it—from helicopters and mountaintops, dangling from gondolas and cliffsides. These brave documentarians were one part cinematographer, one part philosopher—interspersing epic footage of the world’s best riders with their trademark witticisms. What is The Realm? It’s the fire that makes up the cosmos. It’s a state of mind. Welcome to the show.
