Legendary skier and artist, Chris Benchetler grew up in the shadows of California’s eastern Sierra Nevada range. The mountains were his canvases, where he had freedom to roam and develop his artistry. Skiing and art making evolved organically in concert with the natural world. “Mother Nature was and continues to be my best teacher. From the beginning I considered myself an artist on skis. Skiing was a way for me to express myself and clear my head,” he said.
After Chris’ wife Kimmy Fasani battled breast cancer, and Chris and family experienced the challenges that brings to a family, they formed The Benchetler Fasani Foundation. It was launched with a mission to provide meaningful connections to the outdoors and the healing properties found in nature to those who have suffered loss or hardship.
A portion of the proceeds from each item sold will be donated to the The Benchetler Fasani Foundation.
Chris' connection to nature continues to drive his art and skiing, manifesting in his latest collection for TGR. The "Drawn From The Mountains" Tee features new art work from Chris on the left chest and a large rear design.
